Yauhen Paltarzhytski, a defendant in the riot case has been transferred under house arrest, reports the human rights web site spring96.org. He was held in a KGB pretrial jail from March 21 to May 19.
A historian by education, Paltarzhytski studied in a university in Poland under the Kalinowski Program. In the spring of 2017, he was charged with "preparations for a riot" and "founding an illegal armed grouping." The propaganda videos on Belarus State TV showed Yauhen Paltarzhytski pointing to "a dead-drop with metal sticks" in the Naliboki Forest.
16 people charged in the same case remain in KGB or Interior custody.
