"Young Democrats" want to act legally
Represenatives of the UCP youth branch "Young Democrats" have filed documents for registration of a civil association to the Ministry of Justice.
"Registration will provide us the status of an independent organization. This will allow us to work with wider circles of youth of different age groups", — a youth activist Aliaksandr Siarheenka has told to the UCP web-site.
Apart from this, the organization's activity would become legal in case of registration. "In case the Ministry takes positive decision, the main claim of the official authorities, who blame us for acting on behalf of an unregistered organization, will disappear", — the leader of the "Young Democrats" Aleh Korban thinks. However, he is not sure that the authorities will register a youth organization like this.
