Youth activist arrested for 15 days over Tibet protest
Pavel Kuryanovich, an activist with the Jeans for Freedom youth pressure group, has been sentenced to 15 days in jail. The young man was detained on March 17 near the Chinese embassy in Minsk, reports Radio Svaboda. He was part of a group of youngsters who staged an unauthorized picket, holding a Freedom to Tibet! poster and a white-red-white flag.
The police detained a total of two people when dispersing the picket.
