Zankavets hopes Syarhei Kastsitsyn arrives
Belarus national hockey team has notified that its central forward will be Syarhei Dzrozd, informs BelTA. Our hockey players will play their first match of the qualification round of the world championship with Finland on May 14.
The manager of the national team Edward Zankavets has claimed that one place is still vacant as he hopes that Syarhei Kastsitsyn will arrive. The hockey player has already asked the administration of “Montreal” that is not using the forward in the Stanley Cup Playoffs to allow him to take part in the world championship in Germany. The issue is being studied by his agent now and the chief manager of Belarus national team Svyatalsau Kisyalyou keeps contacting Syarhei, noted Zankavets.
The match against Finland will start at 9.15 p.m. EEST. The Finish team lost to Denmark (1:4) at the previous stage and defeated Germany – 1:0 and the USA – 3:2. Thus the team has taken the first position in its group.
