11:31 Embassy of Venezuela established in Minsk
The Embassy of Venezuela has opened in Minsk. BelTA reporters were informed about it by Amerigo Dias Nunes, chargé d'affaires ad interim of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Belarus.
The diplomat is sure that 2007 will be a turning point in the development of Belarusian- Venezuelan cooperation.
The work of the new embassy will promote a strategic alliance between the two countries, and will lead to economic cooperation and realization of agreements reached during the official visit of the Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez to Belarus in July 2006.
The chargé d'affaires ad interim stressed the importance of the fact that Belarus and Venezuela had similar views on the necessity of creation of a manifold world.
