12:29 500 drivers detained for speeding
More than 500 drivers were detained for speeding during the past weekend. The Driving Inspectorate informed about it.
209 people got detained for drunken driving. There were 28 car accidents in which 10 people died and 20 people were injured on March 3 and 4.
On the whole, almost 3 thousand violations of road laws, 300 of which were committed by pedestrians, were registered in Belarus during the past weekend.
Let us remind you that the punishment for speeding, drunken driving, using a cell phone while driving, unfastened seat belts and violations committed by pedestrians has become stricter from March 1, reports “Interfax”.
