13:00 Crediting Belarus to become a burden for Russian budget
Next week Russia and Belarus are going to discuss the possibility of giving our country a state credit to finance supplies of Russian energy carriers. The Minister of Finance Syarhey Storchak informed about it.
According to him, they are going to speak about billions of dollars and that is why such a credit will become a burden for the Russian budget. Moreover, such expenses were not expected to take place in 2007, which means some corrections are to be made if the credit will be given to Belarus.
Storchak noted that the Belarusian request “is in some way spontaneous, so it does not demand any in-depth study and analysis concerning the necessity of the credit and the purposes it will be used for” , informs “Charter-97”.
