18:22 Beltransgaz, Gazprom to sign deal by June 1

The Belarus pipeline operator Beltransgaz and Russia's gas monopoly Gazprom are expected to sign a deal on launching a joing venture by Jnue 1, 2007, Ryma Filimonava, the deputy minister of energy of Belarus said.

The share of Gazprom in the planned joint venture is to reach 50 percent. In according to the previous agreements, the Russian energy giant will gradually buy buy out the shares of Gazprom within 2007-2010, basing the price of the Belarusian pipeline operator of $5 billion.
