2 Belarus newspapers get Zeit awards
Two private newspapers from Belarus -- Gazeta Slonimskaya and the web-based investigative publication Ezhednevnik -- have been awarded the East Europe's Free Press prize, also known as the Zeit Award, the Belarusian Association of Journalists said in a statement.
The prize is awarded annually by the Zeit Foundation and the Free Word Foundation. The award ceremony will take place on May 19, 2008 in Germany.
