About 50 people join picket ‘For Decent Work’ in Babruisk
A picket ‘For Decent Labour’ was held in Babruisk on October 7. About 50 people joined the action organized by local activists of the independent REP trade union, BelaPAN reports.
The picket held near the stadium Slavyanka in Urytski Street had been allowed by Babruisk City Executive Committee. The organizers had to pay about 200 roubels for the police services.
The action started at 4.30 p.m. and lasted for 2 hours, leader of Babruisk affiliate of the REP trade union Halina Smirnova said. Passers-by expressed their indignation at the economic situation in Belarus, Smirnova noted.
Nobody was detained at the picket.
The International Day For Decent Work is marked on October 7.
