Ales Mikhalevich starts submitting signatures for his nomination
2 thousand signatures have been submitted to district election commissions of Vitsebsk by the members of Ales Mikhalevich's nomination group.
As it was informed to Euroradio by the presidential contender himself, they would continue collecting signatures until the "signature" period was over - October 29. Besides, Ales Mikhalevich was going to Mahileu while talking to Euroradio's correspondent, where they planned to submit 10 thousand signatures to election commissions.
The politician explained his decision to submit the signatures now as he had nothing to be afraid of:
Mikhalevich: "There is a common theory - the sooner you submit signatures, the more careful their examination will be, the more opportunities will be to oppress the people who signed. I'm not afraid of that, thus I start submitting signatures quite early".
The Central Election Commission's Press-Secretary Mikalaj Lazavik has informed to Euroradio that the CEC does not know yet who of the contenders submit signatures. The CEC is expecting the majority of signatures to arrive in the end of next week.
