Alyaksandr Hleb — Belarusian football player of the year
A reporting back meeting of the Belarusian Football Federation has taken place in Minsk Football House today, on December 24. Laureates have been announced in 18 individual and group nominations. The captain of Belarus national team, a halfback of Spanish “Barcelona” Alyaksandr Hleb, has been announced the best Belarusian football player of the year for the fourth time on end. The forward of the country’s quintuple champion Barysau BATE has been announced the best player of the country’s 18th championship. He became the best shooter in the competition with his teammate Henadz Bliznyuk. Both shooters have scored 16 goals.
Barysau players will get some more prizes. Syarhei Vyaremka has been announced the best gatekeeper of the season, Syarhei Sasnouski – the best full-back, and Syarhi Kryvets has become a laureate in the nomination “For football talent and dedication in playing for Belarus”. BATE’s coach Victar Hancharenka had no match among the main Belarusian football coaches.
Alyaksei Kulbakou, Vital Malyutsin and Stanislau Savitski were announced the country’s best referees.
