Alyaksey Shydlouski and Pavel Barouski’s trial is put off till August 8
A hearing of the case of opposition activists Alyaksey Shydlouski and Pavel Barouski detained yesterday should have taken place in Partyzanski District of Minsk today.
However, the judge decided to put the hearing off till August 8 and make the detained give a written undertaking not to leave the country. Alyaksey Shydlouski informed ERB about it.
“The reason for it was the necessity to summon witnesses – KGB members. Nobody invited them today but they detained me and Pavel so the hearing was impossible in their absence. They will be looking for them till August 8 and summon them for the trial.”
Pavel Barouski is accused of insanitariness – he pasted leaflets. Both activists are also accused of hooliganism – they are said to have used bad language when they were being delivered to the District Department of the Interior.
