“Ambasovіshcha -2010” — American good-bye smile for Belarusian musicians
Eight bands will take part in the last “Ambasovishcha” in Raubichy this year and a song composed especially for the event will be presented there. A musical festival “Ambasovishcha” organized by the US Embassy to Belarus every year will take place for the last time this year. Winners of contests of the previous year – such bands as Dali, Hutki Smouzh, Kalmary – and “Bosaye Sontsa”, “U circumflex”, “Naka” and guests from Nebraska, the Bishop band, will take part in the happening.
Other winners of “Ambasovishcha” - the Dali band – will surprise the present with their new style – electronic rock and new sound, and will sing a song composed especially for the festival the band thinks is associated with the American smile.
Victar Rudenka, Dali: “Ambasovishcha” is a nook of the American freedom and American smile for us”.
Raman Arlou, the leader of the band “U circumflex”, thinks that “Ambasovishcha” is a useful and necessary thing.
Raman Arlou: “I personally was at “Ambasovishcha” with J-Morse four years ago. I had an impression that it was a useful and necessary thing. Firstly, it gives new Belarusian bands a way to express themselves somehow and secondly, the way the happening is organized differs from the Belarusian format. It is a kind of barbecue in the open air, in relaxing atmosphere, with professional sound and a good company. Why not? It’s a pity that all this is coming to an end”.
By the way, “U circumflex” is preparing to present a song with Alyaksand Pamidorau who is an old participant of the project, took part in the recording of “Not everyone” and a video of the song but has never appeared on stage with the band.
A young Belarusian band “Bosaye Sontsa” is also planning to excite the audience.
Ales Zaitsau, “Bosaye Sontsa”: “Our performance will be thrilling. We have selected such songs that would match the format of the mini open-air. So I hope that it will be a drive”.
Let us remind you that this “Ambasovishcha” will be organized for the last time because Americans have refused from renting the building – the US Ambassador left Belarus two years ago and nobody lives in Raubichy – the house is empty.
