Amnesty International to recall events of December 19 at happening in Warsaw
Warsaw office of the international human rights organization Amnesty International will conduct a happening on January 20. It will be dedicated to the events of December 19 in Minsk. "We will let dozens coloured lights to the sky at the Plac Zamkowy in Warsaw. These lights are to symbolize our wish for respect for human rights in Belarus", informed the representative of the Amnesty International Grzegorz Żukowski, to "Gazeta Wyborcza".
Representatives of the Belarusian opposition will take part in the happening. Amnesty International will also collect signatures under the petition to Aliaksandr Lukashenka to release the detained on December 19-20 and provide them medical care. The petition will also be available at the organization's web-site.
