Andrzej Poczobut: the police didn't pay attention to my press card

Andrzej Poczobut from Polish "Gazeta Wyborcza" is among those who were detained during the protests. In a phone conversation with Euroradio Poczobut told that currently the police is preparing protocols for detained. Mr. Poczobut was not accredited as an elections reporters but he was present at the opposition's action as a journalist.
- When they started to detain us close to Minsk city council, the police has started grabbing hands. I showed them my press card, they didn't pay attention. First they brought us to Akrestsina, but probably there was no free places there. So we spent several hours in the bus befroe they brought us to the police department. There was also a group of journalists from Russian TV, from St. Petersburg, but they were freed on Akrestsina, those two journalists... maybe because they were accredited. The surname of one of them was Loyka.

Poczobut was the only "Gazeta Wyborcza" reporter present in Minsk. Before he was detained he managed to inform his newsroom that people dressed in black are beating political activists Jauhien Afnagel.

According to Poczobut, people in his group of detainees were not severely beaten, though some violence was used against them. They were detained in the end of the action.
