Anti-piggery picket organized in Maladzechna
An unauthorized picket against the construction of pig farms in the district was held in Maladzechna on May 12. Eight people took part in it, Radio Liberty reports.
The picket took 40 minutes. The participants were holding posters: “No to authorities’ swinishness”, “Who will be responsible for the contamination?” and others. The police made up reports for an unauthorized street action against Minsk Province BCD coordinator Pavel Prakapovich and head of Barysau affiliate of the BSDP (Hramada) Ales Abramovich.
Prakapovich applied for the picket but the authorities did not allow it.
According to Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s decree #220, the company Vyales-Mit will build two pig farms for 1000 thousand pigs each in Maladzechna District. The pig farms have to be built near the villages of Soulava and Palachany in 2015-2018.
