Athletes express no-confidence in pentathlon head coach
World champions
Anastasiya Samusevich, Mikhail Prakapenka and Yahor Lapo have published an open
letter to express no-confidence in the national pentathlon team head coach. The athletes
charge that Valyantsin Rohau created a nervous atmosphere within the team
during the Beijing Olympics, pit athletes against coaches and abused alcohol.
"It is
time for our voice to be heard by a broad audience. As a new Olympic cycle gets
under way, we want to get through it without losses and win a medal for our
country at the London Olympics," Yezhednevnik quotes the letter as saying.
Rohau denies
the accusations and intends to react to the letter with a big article.
