Average wages near $470 in August
The average wage in Belarus in August 2008 amounted to Br 938,342 against Br 923,277 in July, according to a report from the Ministry of Statistics.
The highest monthly wages were registered in the steel sector (Br 1,739,000), petrochemical sector (Br 1, 303,000) and chemical industry (Br 1, 043,000) or 13 percent more than an average across the country.
