Beaver attacks in Luninets District (photo)
The incident has occurred in the village Chyrvonaya Volya. The animal fell asleep near the village House of Culture.
A cleaner thought that it was a dog and tried to chase it away. The beaver woke up and attacked the frightened woman.
While villagers were phoning the Emergency Control Ministry, the animal approched the local fountain and headed for the cattlesheds. Rescuers drove the beaver away with the help of water jets.
It is not the first beaver attack, Media-Palesse reports. A beaver killed a man in Kamyanets District at the beginning of April. Beavers have become so brave because of the hunting ban near inhabited localities, specialists explain.
