Belarus' cement producers: We meet European quality standards
Lithuania has claimed that 90 percent of cement exported from Belarus do not meet quality standards. According to the experts from Akmenes cementas — Lithuania's only cement producer — this is confirmed by the country's inspection authority, reports BaltInfo. Tatsiana Khomich, a chief technololgy specialist at Krasnaselsbudmaterialy -- Belarus' biggest cement factory, told the European Radio for Belarus that quality standards were not abolished and that all the shipments to Lithuania were controlled by officials both in Belarus and Lithuania.
Tatsiana Khomich: “I am not aware of what the Lithuanian specialist are talking about. But we observe the European quality standards. We have always cooperated with the Lithuanian certification agencies. There have been no changes in the quality standards so far”.
