Belarus language society pushes for road rules in Belarusian
The Belarusian Language Society is pushing a project to publish the Road Rules in the Belarusian language. Society chairman Aleh Trusau says they are close to success. The Belarusian Language Society was in talks with the Interior Ministry over the past four years.
"We found translators, a state-run publisher headed by Praudzin. He said: "We will translate and publish. Let them just pay". In other words, we found everything.
I think we will succeed, because we recently discussed this issue with the new speaker of the parliament, Vadzim Papou", Trusau told the European Radio for Belarus.
If Interior Ministry funds the project, 10,000 copies of the road rules in Belarusian could be published.
