Belarus to pay $281 million for Russian gas by October 20
Patupchyk told journalists at the Belarusian Energy and Ecology Forum on October 11.
The payment will be made following the decisions of Belarus-Russia protocol signed last week. The budget has a reserve for it, he added.
The price for gas will be calculated according to the formula YANAO Plus by July 1, 2017. Russian gas costs $132 for 1 thousand cubic metres for Belarus now.
The price will be changing according to the price changes in the Russian Federation and the formula mentioned above, Patupchyk said. The gas agreement with Russia ‘is a compromise and is mutually beneficial for both sides, he noted.
