Belarus politicians attend rally of entrepreneurs
The rally of entrepreneurs, held on February 15 at the October Square, was attended by a number of politicians. They came in solidarity with the proprietors. Euroradio asked them how often they go to the markets and where they buy things.
Paval Sevyarynets, co-chairman of the organizing committee of the party "Belarusian Christian Democracy" buys clothes in GUM.
"The last time I was in the market was maybe six months ago. I usually dress in GUM."
Activist Pavel Vinahradau, incidentally, does not buy clothes in Belarus. He dresses in foreign bought abroad.
"I am a person with a Schengen visa, and my mother lives in Italy, so I can buy things in Europe. A couple of weeks ago I was in the market, but only to buy detergents."
Mikalai Statkevich buys stuff in the Belarusian trade centers. But he bought his last jacket in Lviv.
"Last time my wife bought me a sports jacket in Lviv. In the Carpathians, we were taught how to ski. Maryna was very fascinated by the idea of skiing and bought me a ski jacket. She said it was very cheap."
Anatol Lyabedzka, chairman of the United Civil Party, came to the previous rally called "I am an SP" wearing a coat bought in Vilnius. At the same time the politician admitted that he rarely buys something in the markets.
