Belarus state TV gets 20 applications for Eurovision 2010 national selection
The Belarus State TV and Radio Company has received over 20 applications for the selection of a Belarus representative for the Eurovision 2010 song contest in Oslo. The Belapan news agency reports that the deadline for applications was on February 15, but the organizers would accept the documents post-stamped on February 15. Apart from the Belarusian singers, artistes from Ireland, Spain, Iceland and Poland sent their applications for the selection round.
The short-listed candidates will be picked by a focus group comprising the representatives of Belarusian TV channels. The focus group will select a Belarus representative not later than March 10.
