Belarus expects to restore its status of an invited representative in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe with no strings attached. The head of the Republican Council of the Belarusian National Assembly Barys Batura has informed journalists about it. “Interfax” reminds that the Belarusian issue will be discussed at a PACE meeting in November. As it was informed earlier, the status of a PACE invited representative may be restored in the official Minsk makes certain steps to impose a moratorium on capital punishment and to represent the opposition in the parliamentary delegation in the PACE.
