Belarusian investigation Committee interested in Suleiman Kerimov
The connection of the main Uralkali shareholder to illegal activities is being checked now.
Head of Uralkali Vladislav Baumgertner was detained in Minsk after a meeting with Mihail Myasnikovich. The director-general of Uralkali is accused of doing damage to Belarus’ national interests, the Investigation Committee announced. Vladislav Baumgertner has been accused of power abuse.
“There are grounds to claim that new facts testifying to illegal activities performed by the accused will be presented to investigators soon,” press secretary of the Investigation Committee Pavel Travulka told BelTA. Travulka mentioned Kerimov among the suspects.
Head of the board of directors of Uralkali Alexander Valoshyn and shareholder Suleiman Kerimov were also invited to Minsk but did not come, RIA Novosti reports.
