Belarusian section of Wikipedia contains 25 thousand articles by now

The number of articles in the Belarusian section of Wikipedia has reached 25 thousand. Today this big internet-resource contains useful information about Belarusian history and culture, administrative division of Belarus, its geography, animal variety, architectural monuments, and interesting information about the country's famous people, informs the newspaper "Zviazda". Let us remind you, Wikipedia is an on-line encyclopaedia written and maintained by its readers. The free encyclopaedia is a non-commerical initiative, it can be accessed by any internet user. 

The Belarusian section started working in August 2006. 160 participants write articles in Belarusian today, all of them are volunteers.
