Belarusians sold currency worth almost $1.5 billion
In the first nine months of 2016, Belarusians sold foreign currency in amount of almost $1.5 billion, Belarusian Prime Minister Andrei Kabyakou said in an interview with Mir 24 TV channel. He claimed it is proof that people thus show their confidence in the national currency.
Kabyakou noted that deposits in Belarusian roubles have increased but not as fast he would like to. The interview in full can be read here.
