Bishops from Belarus meet Pope Benedict XVI
Pope Bendict XVI held private meetings with key bishops from Belarus: Tadeush Kandeusievich, Antony Dzemyanka, Kazimir Swiontek and others.
The meeting took place in a sincere and cordial atmosphere. The Pope asked about the current condition, development and problems of the Roman Catholic Church in Belarus.
The Pontific gave a positive evaluation of the prospects of the development of the Catholic Church in this country and was very satisfied to hear about the positive development of relations with the Orthodox Church and the public.
