A seym of the BNF party has taken place in Minsk this Saturday. The leader of the party Alyaksei Yanukevich claimed that there was no Kremlin candidate at the elections at the moment but a scenario created by Moscow may be realized. Alyaksei Yanukevіch thinks that it may be a nomenclature coup that could result in a run-off vote due to the opposition’s protest.
"In this case the Kremlin would be interested in promoting its candidate. There is no sense in it now as the Central Election Commission is unlikely to announce the victory of anyone but Lukashenka”, - reports BelaPAN quoting Yanukevich.
The politician thinks the Kremlin will try to realize a scenario aimed at changing the opposition if Lukashenka wins. Part of the opposition will start criticizing the state leader for being unable to reach an agreement with Russia.
