Brest ideologist sends his compliments of the season “in mother tongue”
The head of the ideology department of Brest Region Executive committee Alyaksandr Rahachuk is the only official to have given his compliments of the season to the people in Belarusian. He congratulated his compatriots on both New Year’s Day and “Christmas that should be celebrated traditionally together with the family and beside a Christmas tree”. Mr. Rahachuk arrived in Brest not long ago and, according to unofficial sources, was supposed to become its Mayor. ERB has found out that Alyalksandr Rahachuk participated in the Soviet-Afghan War. Let us remind you that Brest ideologists recommended that regional officials should speak Belarusian at least once a week last year.
