Brest mayor seeks resignation
The Mayor of Brest, Aliaksandr Palyshankou has filed resignation request with the Belarus president, citing his age and health reasons.
It is not clear when exactly the current chairman of Brest City Hall will step down and who will will be his successor, reports Brestskaya gazeta. The decision has to be approved by president Aliaksandr Lukashenka.
Palyshankou has served at this post for ten years.
