Cafes and restaurants having access to Wi-Fi not to be considered Internet providers
Owners of cafes and restaurants offering access to Wi-Fi will not be considered Internet providers. An employee of the Operative Analytical Centre (OAC) Alyaksandr Horbach informed about it during an on-line conference on the website of BelTA. According to him, Internet providers are subjects having a license allowing them to provide electrical communication services.
Mr. Horbach also noted that Wi-Fi users in hotspots will be identified according to the Council of Ministers’ decree #646. It means that Internet providers will have to track their online activities.
