Catholic priest spearheads alley of soberness in northern Belarus

The alley of soberness will be launched in the village of Mosar, Glybokaye district in the northern Belarus. The first trees will be planted by members of the Belarusian associations of anonymous alcoholics.  The alley will begin right behind the local Roman Catholic church near the sculpture of Moses. An alcohol-free cafe will be opened nearby.

The action is spearheaded by the local Catholic priest Jozas Bulka who has fought drinking for several years. He was the first man in Belarus to establish an anti-alcohol museum, reports http://www.kp.ua
