Charges brought against three Ecomedservice employees over patient's death
Investigators have finished the criminal proceedings involving three Ecomedservice staff over the death of a plastic surgery patient.
Young Hrodna inhabitant Yuliya Kubarava died after rhinoplasty in this medical centre. It resulted in numerous check-ups in medical centres in Belarus.
It turned out that defective lung ventilation equipment was used during the operation, the information and public relation department of the Investigation Committee reports.
Charges have been brought against the director-general of the medical centre, the anaesthetist and the chief engineer.
The actions of the anaesthetist were qualified as “negligence that resulted in a patient’s death”. The actions of the other defendants were qualified as “carelessness that accidentally caused a person’s death”.
The criminal case participants are starting to study the case papers.
