Chinese starts European bike trip in Brest (photo)
Xu Jiangjun (aka Ivan) is going to visit 21 countries to help Belarusian orphans.
The young man has spent 2.5 years in Minsk – he is a teacher of Chinese. The main goal of the long trip is to raise money for Belarusian orphans, Xu Jiangjun told Euroradio.
Xu: "I am doing it for charity because I attract a lot of attention. If they show me on TV, many people will get to know about me and the project that helps orphans.”
The cyclist chose the Brest Fortress as the starting point of his trip. He headed for Minsk on June 18. The Chinese will go to Vilnius afterwards. The young man is planning to visit almost all European countries in 100 days.
