Christian conservatives to commemorate Stalinist repression victims in Kurapaty
The traditional Dzyady rally will take place on October 28. The Conservative Christian Party has filed two applications for a demonstration and a rally with the Minsk City Hall.
People are invited to gather at 1030 near the watch factory from where the demonstrators will proceed to Kurapaty.
“We will pay tribute to all the generations of Belarusians who died because of numerous wars and Stalin's genocide, party deputy chairman Yuras Belenki told Nasha Niva newspaper.
Piror to the rally, activists are expected to restore a memorable cross destroyed by unidentified vandals recently.
