Chyzh is not longer head of Wrestling Federation of Belarus
Businessman Yury Chyzh arrested in March has lost his position in the Wrestling Federation of Belarus. The organization elected its new chairperson on July 29 – deputy Minister of Sport and Tourism Alyaksandr Dubkouski, the National Olympic Committee press service reports.
The owner of the group of companies Triple used to patronize sports and was the observation council chairperson of FC Dynama-Minsk by May. Then his son Syarhei Chyzh replaced him in that position.
Yury Chyzh was arrested on March 11 on suspicion of major tax evasion (part 2 of article 243 of the Criminal Code of Belarus). He is facing up to seven years of imprisonment and confiscation of property) as well as a ban on certain activities.
