Construction of recycling plant suspended over debts
Construction of a biochemical recycling plant has been suspended in the Belarusian town of Navapolack due a debt of Br768 million. The government told the regional authorities to take a loan in order to finish the consutrction. They are also advised to pay back the loan using the funds allocated for the protection of environment.
The town is literaly drowning in trash, but the plant has not yet finished within the past four years.
Meanwhile, a special Germany-made recycling equipment is to be shipped now, according to a contract. But there is no space yet to accommodate it.
Moreover, Br170,000 are not there in order to cover the customs duties, reports the Narodnyja Naviny Vicebska web portal.
