Customs officials seize over Eur150K from a Russian national
The Belarusian customs officials have sezied a large batch of foreign currency from a Russian citizen when inspecting the Moscow-Berlin train at the border crossing point in Brest, reports Belapan.
The Russian wrote in his declaration that he had Eur4000, $1000, Hr41 and Rur6500.
However, customs inspectors also found Eur150,000 that was not declared. The Russian national is facing criminal charges of large-scale currency smuggling.
All the money has been confiscated. The local KGB office has opened a preliminary probe into the matter.
