Dozens detained in Minsk (photo, video)
Police raid Speak the Truth!'s office to disrupt a training event for campaign's activists from Belarus' regions.
The raid occured on Saturday on August 24 when activists of Speak the Truth! civil campaign were holing a coordination meeting at their office. BelaPAN news agency reports the meeting was organized for campaign members from the regions in the framework of People's Referendum initiative thats is set for local elections 2014.
The police blocked the entrance and did not allow anyone out. Afteward, detainees were put into police trucks and taken to Minsk's Kastrycniski District Police Station.
Some 30 people were present in the office at the time of arrest.
