Energy minister's aide faces embezzlement charges
An aide to Belarus' energy minister has met the old New Year (January 14) in a pre-trial detention facility. The Office of Prosecutor General has opened a criminal case against energy minister's aide Andrei Zhukov who is facing embezzlement charges.
Zhukov is accused of stealing Br1,545,706,088 by having inflated the price of the contract to supply an electrical pump for a thermal power plant in Mahilyou.
