EU: Economy in euro zone will decrease more than expected
The recession in the euro zone will be deeper than it was expected this year, the European Commission thinks.
Instead of the previously anticipated 0,3%, the summarized GDP of the 17 euro zone states will shorten by 0,4%, ВВС reports.
According to the forecast, four of the five biggest economies of the euro zone will finish the year in the state of recession - France, the Netherlands, Italy and Spain. Only Germany will show growth.
The European Commission expects the euro zone economy to grow by 1,2% instead of the previously anticipated 1,4%.
