EU to make decision about Belarus sanctions by end of October
The EU decision to freeze Belarus sanctions for 4 months will be made by the end of October, spokesperson of the European External Action Service Adam Kaznowski told Euroradio:
“The decision to lift the sanctions will be made by the end of October, I mean the decision to leave the sanctions, cancel or freeze them,” he said.
French Minister of European Affairs Harlem Désir said in Luxemburg that it had been decided ‘to suspend the sanctions for four months with the possibility of instant restoration in case there are reasons for it’, TASS reported.
This statement is a bit incorrect, Adam Kaznowski noted.
"The decision will be made by the end of October. It has not been made yet,” he told Euroradio.
