The leader of the liquidated "Green" party, Dzmitry Kuchuk, will participate in the elections to the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus. He announced this on his Facebook page.

"I don't have any illusions that I will get a parliamentary mandate, but it is important for me to become the voice of those Belarusians in the country who are ready to support independent candidates," says Kuchuk.

Aliaksandr Lukashenka's House of Representatives is not recognized as a legitimate parliament in the world (except by Russia and its allies). The opposition in Belarus has been crushed, opposition parties have been liquidated, many of their leaders have gone abroad or are behind bars.

It was recently announced that elections to the House of Representatives are scheduled for February 25, 2024.
