French peasants turn Elysian Fields into great garden
French peasants who wanted to attract the public’s attention to the deep crisis in the rural economy have turned the Elysian Fields into an orchard and a vegetable garden. The Whitsunday lasts two days in France – Sunday and Monday. Millions of French people have visited “the Elysian kitchen garden” this Monday, reports Onet.pl.
Peasants call their action “Natura Capitale”. They have planted 150 thousand bushes and 650 trees for two days. Cows, sheep and goats are grazing among them.
Parisians are eagerly buying cheese, wine and other regional products from the protesting peasants.
