Gazprom to Lukashenka: Political pressure is a popular cliche
Gazprom disagrees with Alyaksandr Lukashenka's views about the political motives of 'gas war' between Russia and Belarus. "Now the dispute is practically settled", Belapan news agency quoted Gazprom spokesman Sergei Kupriyanov. "What were we trying to get apart from the money that we were supposed to get anyway? No explanations about where political pressure is and what stands behind our demands. A popular cliche is being used. But they have no time to explain what is exactly meant".
Kupriyanov also noted the current conflict over natural gas and transit fees has nothing to do with the disputes over the Customs Union.
