General Office of Public Prosecutor has not found law violations during registration of Lukashenka’s group
The General Office of the Public Prosecutor has not found any violations in the procedure of registration of Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s initiative group. It is said in the reply to the appeal of a human rights activist Aleh Vouchak. BelaPAN notes that Vouchak suggested cancelling the registration of the initiative group of the current President Alyaksandr Lukashenka by the CEC. The President did not bring documents needed for the registration of the initiative group to the Central Election Commission personally. It was done by the head of the group Alyaksandr Radzkou. Furthermore, Radzkou presented a copy of Lukashenka’s passport instead of the passport itself as it is indicated by the law.
The General Office of the Public Prosecutor has replied to the lawyer that the initiative group did not violate the legislation.
