Georgia thanks Belarus for refusing to recognize Abkhazia and South Ossetia

Georgia respects and understands Belarus’ position in connection with Abkhazia and South Ossetia. According to BelaPAN, the Georgian Ambassador to Belarus Georgi Chheidze has claimed it at a press conference in Minsk. According to the distributed press release, Georgia’s main priority is the liberation of its inalienable parts – Abkhazia, Tshinvali Region – and the integration of the regions in a peaceful way.

The Belarusian leader has already claimed many times that the decision about the recognition of Abkhazia and South Ossetia has to be taken by the country’s Parliament.
